[fpc-pascal] TCustomListBox Sort Query

I've got a file list box thats based around TCustomListBox , i noticed it can be sorted - i'm using it to display filenames but it would be really great to be able to sort it via timedate of the file 

Is there another control thats like this that i could use ? i was thinking of storing the date information in the object and over riding the update sort in the win32 widgetset.

Any thoughts welcome.
