exactly! i much prefer to sit down and read the messages that my mail reader
pulls in... mailing lists are much nicer... NNTP requires something else as does
access forums... i'm signed up with the FPC and LAZARUS lists as mailing lists
and it is just a breeze to sit and go thru the messages in one swoop rather than
having to fire up a newsreader and a browser and email client and so on...

the OP may or may not see them that way, either... especially if their software
renders them instead of just showing them or their code :/
