My Pal did some initial tests with the BeagleBone Black. Same comes with 
a Aengstrom Linux pre-installed in it's internal "Flash-Card". As he 
already has some experience with (PC-) Debian, he is going to move his 
BBB's to same.

Additionally, I learned that, for embedded use, the DaVinci distribution 
also often is recommended.
