Stop with the drama already, seriously. The Delphi-compatibility  
arguments are not about the compiler, but about the RTL/FCL. The  
compiler already fully supports unicode, except for resourcestrings.  
That has nothing to do with Delphi compatibility or not, but is simply  
a matter of nobody caring enough to implement it. The bug report  
requesting such support already dates from 2005:
