Oh really ?

Why do you think I am advocating 6-monthly releases?
And who is telling me time and again that they serve no purpose or 
cannot reasonably be done in FPC?

When we have the 6-monthly releases, we'll have something 
to announce regularly. Then we can reconsider a news section.

Until that miracle comes to pass: 
in FPC the news section is counterproductive, the evidence of that has been 
staring our users in the face for ~20 years.
