Read my previous answer to this. It was removed deliberately.
A 'news' item from 2024 spells 'This project is dead'.

Instead, the number of commits during the last week is shown 
(the "43" shown today is a live counter, clickable, BTW). 
It tells much more than a 2-year old news item that FPC is alive.

Besides, I think the forum is the real place to see for news.
