I second that. People who uses C style short unreadable code approach
usually state they get more optimized code, yet the compiler is actually
able to produce the same with optimizations turned on. Well, todays
compilers are not like early compilers where the output is a direct mapping
of the input (i.e. the only optimization is at source level typed by your
fingers analyzed by your brain), are they?
