Well, I'll do as soon as I'm sure if there's a bug. :)

Currently all I see is a subtle semantic difference between Windows- and 
Unix-Event's implementation.

So for now all I can say is that this should either

a) be documented,
b) changed to a common semantic behaviour, or
c) ignored, because I'm just too stupid.
