Another fun fact, I was wondering why occasionally my win8 PC would wakeup
during the night.  Turns out it auto-wakes to do "maintenance", and the
option to enable it is not in power options, but 3 levels deep in "action
center". It probably assumes that all PCs are configured to go to sleep
after a while, but since the settings are not next to eachother, if you
disable auto-hibernation, your machine will just wake up and stay on
forever.
