[fpc-devel]FPC106: setup fails in plain dos

downloaded fpc106.zip, unzipped it, ran install, accepted all defaults
result: unpacked part of the files, then stopped with

 Error (-2) while extracting. Disk
 full?

   Try again?
  Yes  No

At this time the partition still had approximately 500 Megabytes
free space.

Next tried same in dos-window of win98,
there it worked.
