The RAD, just drop components onto a form and set up at the objector
inspector, the events and the properties. All of the above is great and it
will no doubt give us the same benefits as Delphi/Lazarus developers
currently enjoy.
The whole point is that building your GUI using RAD is faster/easier to
maintain the app (within the RAD environment) than having to go through
hundreds of thousands of lines of code to find the right spot to make any
change.
I always will prefer hand-written code, consider to be more readable,
maintainable and believe to offer more customization.
It has been said that TMS Web Core adapts automatically to the device
screen, i.e. looks good on mobile and desktop. Also called responsive
design, but I suspect it is difficult to create directly with minimal
effort, you have to create a container component...
I think to create responsive design app you have to develop sub-containers
firstly to put the layouts inside.
This layout already takes care of properly adapting to mobile, tablet and
desktop screens, so makes it responsive if you want to call it this way.
TMS Web Core it's indeed a nice tool, anyway, but it is pricy! I think
overpriced to the point of uncompetitive (here in Brasil about R$1,700), but
I believe the Lazarus is the right path (like a game changer), will give us
the complete tool to archieve our goals.
