Today many industrial (and household) machines are a lot safer than decades ago.
This has changed because so many people got (heavily) injured.
Therefore these machine were made safer.
Why not do the same in the programming world?

In the past Pascal was created with the spirit:
Make it clear, logical and consistent,
avoid traps.
It seems this spirit is gone today.
