On top of this they created a completely new and incompatible VCL for 
use with "mobile devices" and even the language itself and its paradigms 
is modified in an incompatible (and dangerous) way to support this (e.g. 
by auto-freeing objects). FPC and Lazarus OTOH try to walk on an upgrade 
path leading to multiple targets (including compiling to Java/Delpvik). 
While the work is by far not completed, IMHO what we see is rather 
promising.
