Just so you know, by posting that image, you now painted a bulls-eye on
your head. You are now violating the Embarcadero FireDAC EULA, which
forbids FireDAC to be used with any other product than Delphi or C++
Builder. What a disgrace EMBT!
To recap how this all went down...
- AnyDAC was a great product that supported Windows and Linux, and
Delphi and FPC.
- Embarcadero bought AnyDAC, then...
* Stripped functionality by removing Linux support, and no older
Delphi versions than XE3.
* Restricted the license - Delphi XE3 and C++ Builder products
only.
* Reduced the support from AnyDAC. You now have to pay extra for
FireDAC support, which came as standard for the first year with
AnyDAC.
* And for good measure, raised the price - a LOT.

Amazing. Embarcadero had no problems using FPC when they needed iOS
support in Delphi XE2. No thanks was given. Didn't contribute a single
line of code back to FPC. FPC is good enough when it suits them, but
other than that FPC is evil.
Don't you just "love" corporate acquisitions, that often hurt consumers
rather than help them.
All I can say is, thank goodness for open source software! Keep up the
good work guys.
