Where are those tests? :-)

Anyway, best is to use such test, generate chm and html, and then decompress
the html (using chmls extract) and see if the internal html is sane.

Or Darius could post a minimal example (src+xml+cmdline to combine, batch or
shell) to mantis and I'll have a look.
