Version 2.4.4 does split, say

   --name="Anton Shepelev"

into two parametes:

  a.  --name="Anton
  b.  Shepelev"

The  latest  revision   of   the   file   /rtl/unix/
unixutil.pp dates to 2010, so I think this has never
been fixed.
