Hallo Hans-Peter

1) Do you have the ncurses library installed? (This is quite probable,
   it comes with most distributions) 
   Try: locate libcurses
   or check in /usr/lib, /usr/local/lib for that lib.
   if no luck, install it.

2) It's also possible you don't have the library in the search path,
