What Spam? What illegal action do feel occured?

This is/was a legitimate email from this person. Having seen some of the 
emails that you posted to the list he was genuinely interesting in 
letting you know about the project in the hopes that maybe you could 
lend a hand.

This was not Spam or any kind of mass mailing this was a specific email 
directed at you.
