Hi,

Not that I am interested in a concrete port at this moment, but just a 
general question (perhaps doesn't make sense).

Due to the POSIX compliance, wouldn't it be possible to make a port 
based on POSIX, for every Unix which runs over a x86 family processor, 
regardless of the flavour?
I just say this in case the Linux port could be used for other x86 
based Unices...
