As soon as you start securing your system down and disabling things to
make it secure, your system is rendered useless, or castrated..
I have a fantasy of buying a cabin, and running my cabin off solar
panels or some clever nuclear technology and never connecting to the
internet again (buying a copy of the current internet from archive.org)
and running my own super secure network in this cabin in the middle of
nowhere. What is the security system I will enable? Not connecting to
any network nor having a cell phone, or internet connection. i.e.
unplugged. With a local copy of the 2016 internet on hands.... an
archived copy... And just going from there.
That's security at it's best: isolating yourself so that your cabin is
completely unconnected to anything. But there could be a security breach
in quantum mechanics where some guy hacks the universe itself and is
able to connect to your by wirelessly sending signals into your cabin
which affect your brain waves.
Put this on the science fiction book to write todo list: but it's not
fiction.
