"reporter" is simply default group that anyone who just created a new account on the bug tracker ends up with. It says absolutely nothing about who that person is or what he has done.

But if you check out the link Ondrej Pokorny's posted in the "Dangerous optimization in CASE..OF" thread about a week ago ( https://bugs.freepascal.org/view.php?id=33603 ) you will see that this isn't the first time Thaddy has been mentioned on this mailing list.

If you then search on the tracker for other issues that Thaddy has commented on, you will find that the majority of his notes don't seem particular helpful, but are often enough using quite aggressive and/or insulting language. (And he has been called out for it in comments by developers, e.g. here: https://bugs.freepascal.org/view.php?id=32911 ).

So, you know, whom the shoe fits...
