I opened the PR: http://mantis.freepascal.org/view.php?id=27091

This didn't fit a category well, so I just picked "compiler" and title
is not the best but I couldn't edit it.

I see a lot of activity in the trunk thus I'm worried about bitrot (and
not making the 2.8.0 release) so that's what is concerning me.
