True, but widely untested. As a previous conversation from a few month
back ended... it should work in theory.

Also Lazarus Packages are designed to work with source only. There is no
option to install .ppu's and .o's in Lazarus IDE. But this is another
issue, best left to be discussed in the Lazarus mailing list.
