That is a problem. However:
* It's a US patent, so irrelevant to FPC developers
* Having a patent # in the US means nothing, the patent gain value once it
   is confirmed by court
* Borland said it the past they were open for discussion to allow it to be
   used in open source compilers (though not specfically talking about FPC)
* It's a patent from 1994, so almost expired.
