Actually if I am not mistaken it was the MIPS that first shifted the
pipelining ordering from the processor into the compiler ;-) . You can't
even have a normal branch instruction in that bugger without another
instruction after it executing. It really gives me the itch when I have to
look into MIPS or Sparc code :-D .
