Hi all,
from now on Freepascal 2.0.0 is available on Fedora Extras. So it is
possible to install fpc on Fedora Core (version 3 and up) with the
command:
yum install fpc
Documentation and src-package for Lazarus are available with
yum install fpc-doc
yum install fpc-src
If you're still running FC-3 you have to add Extras to your Yum-repository
first. For more info see: www.fedoraproject.org/wiki/Extras
Maybe it's a good idea to place this kind of information on the website
(http://www.freepascal.org/download.html) so that Fedora-users don't have
to do the download, install, dependencies etc. theirselves. (also for
other distributions that provide fpc? Like Debian?) And maybe a news-item?
Regards,
Joost
