Current CVS can be compiled for amd64. See for example the testsuite run
at
http://www.freepascal.org/cgi-bin/testsuite.cgi?TESTACTION=1&TESTRUN=586.

The next release 1.9.6 will include an amd64 compiler. Until that release
you need to bootstrap an amd64 compiler yourself. See the buildfaq at
http://www.stack.nl/~marcov/buildfaq.pdf what is needed to bootstrap.
