Strange. I've always compiled Lazarus on a NFS mount and I've never run 
into this. I've tried the example of Joost on different filesystems (ext3, 
nfs, smbfs), but always got the right output.

both a 1.9.3 (a few weeks old) and a 1.0.10 compiler worked fine
