Exactly ;)
But GTK/GDK also works this way, and even Qt (only that Qt is a single
library with no notable separation of graphics and GUI parts.)

BTW, just started the 'official' fpGFX/Win32-GDI implementation, as
working on fpDoc the whole day is quite boring :)
