Now, this code is much more pleasant to read ;-)
A few questions:
1) The license seems to be LGPL, but there is gpl-3.0.txt file in the
doc folder.
  Are some parts under the GPL?
2) Why no operator overloading?
3) Finally, and relevantly for this list,
  should something like this be included into FPC?
