[fpc-pascal]FPC 1.0.7 make cycle error

G'day all,
I keep reasonably up to date with the CVS fixes branch for 1.0, but
for a while now a 
make OPT=-CX cycle
will die while linking syslinux, while a plain
make cycle will work fine.
I have renamed my /etc/fpc.cfg file to something else and I'm just
doing a make OPT=-CX cycle in the fpc/compiler directory.

This used to work, but the last dated compiler I have that compiled
this way was 2002/07/27.
