Can you describe the requirements for that part, that allow others to 
understand and think about the problem, and to invent and explore 
possibly different solutions?

References to existing code are of little help, because that code 
obviously is not an adequate solution. A description of the encountered 
problems may be helpful, in order to prevent others from ending up in 
the same dead ends.
