That is the stupidity of Windows - which solely relying on a file
extension to determine the type.  Anyway, we can only suggest you use
a real OS... ;-)

On a more serious note. What version of Lazarus are you using, because
as far as I know, that was remedied ages ago...  In FPC (trunk), the
files have not been renamed.
