You  probably have some .ppu or .o files in locations where they should 
not be. This can happen for example if you compile one of the units from 
a command line-yourself. Or by adding the path to the sources to a 
Lazarus-project. If a .ppu file is placed between the sources, this kind 
of problems may arise. (And a make clean does not fix that)

Maybe you could check if this is the case. (You can also search for all 
.ppu and .o files in the checkout and remove them all. See if that helps)
