Agree. Also note that this is only part of Delphi, whose compability is
still on hold. E.g. D7 reports "illegal character in input &($26)".
 
IMHO we end up implementing too much syntax for each and every theoretical
case (see also the endless discussions about more information hiding
modifiers).
