We have had this option since day 1 (I used IDKSM from Michael Hess), 
I just never enable it.

You can very easily enable this option yourself:

fpdoc --html-search=searchpage

If you provide the searchpage + a script to generate the index file,
then I'll include it in FPC's docs by default.
