It is based on FPC sources as well and proposes a lot of great idioms. For instance I would like to use russian characters as identificator names, someone wants macros and templates, someone something else...

I think it's very wise to actualy not implement things like this. I'm 
not saying we should stick to the standard at all costs but these things 
are  basicly irrelevant since it isn't something "you can't do withou". 
It's basicly a syntax sugar and adding those would branch pascal too much.

Templates for example are bit more interresting but even those can be 
emulated.
